AT A GLANCE
Mission & Purpose
Mission: The Global Community Uniting for Equity™ will imagine, advocate, and act for equity through education, promoting a more just and inclusive global community.
Purpose: The Global Community Uniting for Equity™ is a person to person, non-governmental, non-profit global association committed to contributing to equity, peace, social justice and human rights.
What is Unique about GCUE?
What is Unique About GCUE?
GCUE is comprised of persons, affiliated through national and regional communities, who are committed to education as a means of creating a more just, peaceful and loving world.
We are committed to supporting educational and community development projects through volunteer expertise and linking with various NGO’s or non-profit organizations to support identified needs.
We do not offer grants due to the burdensome (and thus expensive) non-profit requirements involved in monitoring the use of grant funds. However, we will support expenses for volunteers and fund raise to purchase materials and equipment that may be needed for various projects.
We are committed to working with educational agencies and communities to maximize their strengths and support them in assuming responsibility for addressing needs through leveraging their strengths.
We encourage and cherish all areas of diversity in our membership:
• Age diversity – young students to retired persons
• Faith diversity – all faiths (a willingness to integrate professional practice with an acknowledgement of spiritual beliefs)
• Ethnic & racial diversity
• Gender & sexual orientation diversity
• Cross disciplinary
• Nationality diversity
• Cultural diversity
